What Makes Wyndham at Bonnet Creek Resort So Great?

One of our most loved vacation destinations at Vacation Strategy is without a doubt the Wyndham at Bonnet Creek Resort in Florida. Of course taking a trip to Orlando is popular with everyone from couples looking for a getaway where they can spend time on the beach to families who love it for its proximity to Walt Disney World. And what’s not to love about Florida? The weather seems to always be pleasant and there’s certainly no shortage of things to do.

As we mentioned above, Wyndham at Bonnet Creek is a popular place to stay for a reason. Want to pretty much guarantee that you’ll have an incredible vacation and make some great memories that will last for a lifetime? This is the place to go.

But what makes it so great, you ask? Good question, and luckily for you, the answer comes in the form of today’s blog. Keep reading to learn more!

Okay, So What Makes It One of the Best Places for Vacation?

The Resort

We could write an entire post about how much there is to do without ever leaving the resort, but suffice it to say that there’s no shortage of things to do. Take your pick between five different outdoor swimming pools, nine outdoor hot tubs, thirteen cabanas (yes, you read that right--thirteen!), and two lazy rivers ought to satisfy the needs of just about everyone who wants to spend some time relaxing in the water. Wyndham at Bonnet Creek makes it incredibly easy.

Prefer something a little more active? There’s a playground for the kids, two children’s water features, two different exercise equipment areas, three game rooms, miniature golf, and a beach volleyball court. Like we said, you could entertain yourself for days without ever leaving the resort. There are, however, plenty of other great things for you to do. Speaking of which…

Walt Disney World

If your kids are anything like ours, there’s one answer to the question of where they’d like to go on vacation--Disney World. And why not? Whether it’s because they’re fans of Moana, Frozen, Cars, Toy Story, or The Incredibles, chances are that they want to go see their favorite characters in person and ride the rides!

Disney’s live actions shows are also not to be missed, allowing your kids to see shows like Festival of the Lion King which they’re sure to love. After all, what’s not to love about Timon and Pumba and Simba and seeing all of their antics brought to life? It’s a show that’s likely to please kids and adults alike due to its high production values and stunning visuals.

And speaking of adults enjoying themselves, that’s not to say that adults can’t have a blast while they’re at Walt Disney World as well. Perhaps you visited as a child and have fond memories; maybe you’ve never been before and you want to experience the magic. Space Mountain will thrill you and the famous (or perhaps infamous) Tower of Terror is sure to get your adrenaline going as you plummet thirteen stories down. It’s a rush that you’re not likely to get anywhere else!

Epcot is one place we can’t recommend highly enough. Although it is often overshadowed by the magic of Walt Disney World, there’s plenty of magic at Epcot and it’s truly something special to behold. As an adult, you will appreciate the wide variety of incredible foods and beverages and the wonderful combination of cultures.

After all, where else can you get a flavor for Japan, Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany in the same place? It really doesn’t get much better than that! Plus with Club Cool, you can try beverages from all around the world.

You’ve probably never wondered what soda they like in Peru (spoiler alert--it’s a bubblegum flavored beverage called Inca Kola) or what Greece’s drink of choice is (it’s a delightful pineapple flavored soda), but trust us when we say that it’s an eye opening look at what’s popular elsewhere in the world. Our recommendation is to be sure that you try the Fanta Melon Frosty from Thailand or the Sparletta which is a raspberry cream soda and hails from Zimbabwe. Oh, and best of all? These drinks are free to try!

You could also treat your kids to something unique and special in the form of a henna tattoo at the Morocco Pavilion or head to Innoventions East and and enjoy designing your own roller coaster at the Sum of All Thrills. There are plenty of interesting and unique experiences to be had at Epcot that simply cannot be had elsewhere, making it a must visit location while you’re on your vacation. Trust us when we say that it will be a highlight of your trip and a place that you’ll long to return again in the future.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Located inside of Universal's Islands of Adventure, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is every kid’s (and, let’s be honest, adult’s) dream come true. Who wouldn’t want to slide into Diagon Alley, look through the wands at Ollivanders, or hop on the Hogwarts Express and grab a bite to eat (and perhaps a butter beer or two) at the Leaky Cauldron?

Or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, you can head right on into Gringotts and then work to get out in the “Escape from Gringotts” ride. As a matter of fact, according to a recent review on Trip Advisor, people who are “inside the compartments can enjoy the appearance of travelling to Hogwarts through the window, or listen to Harry, Hermoine, and Ron converse or foil the Dementors. The dragon atop Gringotts, spitting fire every 10 minutes is a particular hit, better at night than during the day because of the contrast.”

Whether you’re a casual fan or someone who owns all of the books and has seen the movies countless times, we’re sure you’ll have a blast at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, reliving your favorite moments and seeing things you’ve only pictured in your mind’s eye.
